Our consulting engineers service the built environment, chemical & petrochemical, defence & security, food & beverage, manufacturing, marine & offshore, mining & mineral processing, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, renewable energy, semiconductor and water & wastewater industries. Whether the clients are designing a new major hazard facility, a chemical  plant, reinforcing their infrastructure against blast wave emanating from an explosive charge or a pressurised pipe rupture, or enhancing building performance, our experienced engineering and simulation consultants will ensure that they receive appropriate, value-added solutions. Our services are not constrained geographically and we provide services to clients globally to address their concerns.

INTRODUCTION
Founded in Sydney Australia in 2011, we have gained recognition as the engineering and simulation consultants that provide performance-based engineering practice by combining conventional with computer aided engineering. Supported by our highly-qualified experienced multidisciplinary chartered engineers, professional engineers, specialist simulation consultants and technologists, we have successfully delivered many challenging & complex projects including blast effects consulting to clients located in Australia, Singapore, Indonesia and within the Asia Pacific region. We are recognised as a leading specialist consulting firm because we focus on very narrow areas of practice.

OUR TEAM
Our company is spearheaded and managed by Chartered Engineers (Engineers Australia) from various engineering and industry backgrounds who thoroughly understand the engineering industry requirements. We currently employ experienced multidisciplinary engineers, simulation specialists, technologists, project managers, drafters and administrative support staff based in Sydney and Singapore. Within our delivery team, all our disciplinary engineers and technologists possess formal tertiary qualifications from reputable universities whereas all our simulation specialists hold a PhD specialising in simulation, coupled with many years of experience across various industries. Overall, our disciplinary engineers, simulation specialists and technologists have a combined experience of over 50 years.

eLearning @ Cerfacs - Online Courses

CERFACS members collaborate to formation in multiple places (engineering schools and universities in Toulouse, Bordeaux and Paris, and specialized schools for PhDs and engineers such as Von Karmann Institut, College de Polytechnique, etc) and on many topics (numerical methods, high-performance computing, fortran, optimization, tutorial for Large Eddy Simulation of reacting flows, theoretical and numerical combustion, Computation Fluid Dynamics on massively parallel architectures, etc).
To ensure that students can have the best access to teaching materials (courses, hands-on exercices, links to various external sources, examples of exams),
CERFACS has gathered data on this website where you can download all data related to the course they are following. You are welcome to use this site.

Free Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS) and Smokeview

Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS) is a large-eddy simulation (LES) code for low-speed flows, with an emphasis on smoke and heat transport from fires.
Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS) is a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) model of fire-driven fluid flow. The software solves numerically a form of the Navier-Stokes equations appropriate for low-speed, thermally-driven flow, with an emphasis on smoke and heat transport from fires.

Smokeview (SMV) is a visualization program used to display the output of FDS and CFAST simulations.

FDS+Evac is the evacuation simulation module for Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS). The software is used to simulate the movement of people in evacuation situations. The evacuation simulations can be fully coupled with the fire simulations.

These tools are open source and freely available.
